Youth

Up-coming events!

roseville Youth

At Roseville Youth, we love diving into the Bible and having meaningful conversations and connections. An average night includes icebreakers, games/activities, snacks, and Bible studies. We also host a variety of other fun, meaningful, or service-oriented events throughout the year.

As leaders, we have created a mission for Youth Group: "We strive to build a disciple-making community that learns to glorify God, love others, and discover truth."

When & Where are Youth Events?

Our normal programming starts in September and runs until mid-June. We usually meet at Roseville Church (2729 Fischer-Hallman Rd, Ayr, ON), but be sure to check the events above for specific details on dates, locations, and drop-off/pick-up times.

Youth Q&A

What does a typical night at youth look like?
First, we say hello and get you signed in! Then we start off with some fun icebreakers, followed by games like dodgeball, card games, Pictionary, Mafia, etc. After that, we enjoy a snack and some juice, and then split into small groups to read the Bible and talk about what it says, what it means, and how it might apply to our lives. We finish the night by hanging out while people get picked up.
What are the safety policies?
All of our leaders follow Plan to Protect policies. They’ve been trained and have worked alongside experienced leaders before leading groups on their own. We care deeply about creating a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

What ages is youth open to?
Anyone from Grade 6 to Grade 12 is welcome! On a typical night, we usually do games and icebreakers all together, and then split into two groups for the Bible discussion:
  • Junior High (Grades 6–8)
  • High School (Grades 9–12)
Can I come if I don’t believe in Jesus or I'm unsure what I believe?
Absolutely! Everyone is welcome. Whether you’re just curious, looking for community, tagging along with a friend, or full of questions (or none at all), we’d love to hang out with you. You can participate as much or as little as you're comfortable with.
Who is Jesus?
Let's look at how Jesus describes Himself in the book of John.

1. Bread of Life
“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” — John 6:35

2.  Light of The World
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” — John 8:12

3. The Gate
"Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures." — John 10:9

4. Good Shepherd
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep." — John 10:11
“I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep." — John 10:14–15

5. The Resurrection & The Life
"Jesus told her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.'" — John 11:25

6. The Way, The Truth, & The Life
"Jesus told him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.'" — John 14:6

7. The Vine
“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing." — John 15:5

If you have more questions about Jesus, we'd love to chat!
Do I have to participate during the Bible study?
Nope! You’re totally welcome to just listen and observe if you’d like. If you want to join the discussion or ask questions, that’s great too! It’s totally up to you.

Also, whether you're super familiar with the Bible or have never picked one up before, both are completely okay! No one knows everything, and everyone’s thoughts and questions are welcome—regardless of your background. In fact, people from different backgrounds often bring fresh and valuable perspectives. During the Bible portion, we always read the passage together so everyone is on the same page and has the opportunity to join the conversation.
I'm nervous about fitting in... what do people usually wear to youth?
No need to worry, just wear whatever you feel comfortable in! You’ll be accepted no matter what you’re wearing. Youth nights are super casual; it's common to see hoodies, t-shirts, jeans, sweatpants, leggings, etc.
I have big questions about life I'm trying to figure out...
Asking hard questions means you’re thinking deeply and seeking truth, and that’s incredible. It can feel intimidating sometimes, but you’re not alone.

If you ever want to talk, we’re here for you. You can always chat with one of us (the leaders) at Youth, or if it feels easier, feel free to reach out online (check out the contact link below).

If you're not feeling the need to chat, but would find comfort just being around kind people in a safe, welcoming space—you’re always welcome here.
